We can hardly contain our excitement here at the C+S HQ!
Traditional luxury British brands such as Alexander McQueen, Lulu Guinness and Mulberry are all supporting our glorious heritage! And whilst I have never been all that patriotic, I can’t help but embrace the Jubilee fashion trend that is literally sweeping the nation. You’ve all gone union jack mad and we love it!
British brands and designers are queuing up to creatively commemorate 60 years of Quenn Lizzie’s reign. A clear favourite has to be the limited edition ‘Mulberry Loves Britain’ collection – A redesign of their iconic Bayswater (£795), Lily (£595) and Pouch (£200) bags in natural oak leather with understated engraved Union Jack locks in shimmering gold. Inside the bag, in place of the Mulberry branding, is a leather plaque that reads ‘Mulberry Loves Britain’ with the tree logo, a heart and a mini Union Jack stamp. We rarely need convincing to see the appeal of Mulberry’s discreet chic – this definitely gets our stamp of approval!
If like me you are partial to a good old clutch then feast your eyes on these Goodies by Lulu Guinness and Alexander McQueen.
Probably one of the most iconic designs by a British Designer after Mulberry of course has got to be the Lulu Guinness lips clutch. Easily leading the way into Lulu’s Best of British collection, the Union Jack print is the ultimate statement accessory. You can get your own from the Lulu Guinness website for around £475
As featured previously on CS has been remodelled in honour of the Jubilee and looks better than ever!
Both bags (along with other variations of this style) can be found on FarFetch.com
Three amazingly British bags by three amazingly British brands. Which one will you go for?
