Donatella Versace’s lates eyewear collection Etoile de la Mer was unveiled during Haute Couture during fashion week in Paris. The campaign features ultimate supermodel Gisèle Bündchen, photographed by Mert & Marcus (who else!) at an abandoned pool in the California desert.The collection, which will be available in Versace boutiques and selected retailers worldwide from March 2012, focuses on just two sunglasses and one optical model.
The new Valentino Sunglasses line for 2012 Spring-Summer highlights how both past and present history of Italian fashion are connected to each other. Interestingly there is a huge contrast between women, nature and modern lifestyle. Unusual vintage frames and different decorative detail include lace, strong lines and colourful acetate shadows. The brand logo “V” is shown as a decorative element and strong detail. Below is one our favourite items from the line:
The designer Karl Lagerfeld shot the fashion model Arizona Muse in Rome for Fendi spring-summer 2012 ad campaign. Whilst this is only a teaser shot, we are loving the shape of the lens and eagerly await the collection launch.
Prada’s eyewear collection is similar to Fendi’s with the over-sized designs and wide cat-eye frames. The classic dark brown acetate is inspired by 50′s Americana. As a result the collection is chic yet playful Prada – the epitome of the Prada brand.
